Dolly Parton Breaks Silence After Husband Carl Deanโ€™s Death

Dolly Parton is thankful for the love and support sheโ€™s receiving after the death of her husband, Carl Dean.

The โ€œ9 to 5โ€ singer, 79, shared a post on Instagram on Thursday, March 6, to thank fans and family for their kind messages after Dean passed away at 82 earlier this week.

โ€œThis is a love note to family, friends, and fans. Thank you for all the messages, cards, and flowers that youโ€™ve sent to honor my beloved husband Carl,โ€ she wrote. โ€œI canโ€™t reach out personally to each of you, but know that it has meant the world to me. He is in Godโ€™s arms now, and I am okay with that.โ€

She ended her post with a reference to one of her famous songs, โ€œI will always love you.โ€

Parton and Dean were married for nearly 60 years and kept their relationship private.

She spoke warmly of their life together when announcing his passing, saying, โ€œCarl and I spent many wonderful years together. Words canโ€™t do justice to the love we shared for over 60 years. Thank you for your prayers and sympathy.โ€

The cause of his death has not been revealed.
