Coleen and Wayne Rooney are being tipped to deliver “compulsive viewing” in a £10 million ($13m) documentary that will be “worth every penny”.

It is being suggested that the Rooneys have signed up for an “At Home With” series that will lift the lid on their private lives. Manchester United legend Wayne is currently back on punditry duty after enduring another failed stint in management at Championship side Plymouth.

One of those is said to have seen Disney+ prevail in a documentary bidding war with Amazon Prime. Cameras are ready to go behind the scenes at the £20m ($26m) mansion that Coleen and Wayne share with their four sons.

WHAT A SOURCE SAID

A source has told The Mirror of that deal: “’The Beckhams documentary was the most-watched show on Netflix in the UK last year, and has racked up more than 200 million hours of viewing time globally. Coleen is loved by the British public, especially since she played a blinder on I’m A Celeb. It wasn’t surprising that Disney and Amazon wanted it and went head to head. It will make for compulsive viewing. It won’t just feature Coleen but Wayne and their children, too. It might be expensive, but the view is that it will be worth every penny.”

WHAT NEXT?

There is no official word as to when filming will take place or a possible release date for the show, but the relevant paperwork is now in place and ready to be signed off. Wayne Rooney had been due to star in a documentary about his time at Plymouth prior to seeing that forgettable reign brought to a close after just 25 games.
