Simone Biles ‘Will Never’ Return To Popular Workout Class After Rough Experience
Simone Biles, the legendary U.S. Olympics gymnast, knows a thing or two about working out. But there’s one popular class that Biles is vowing to “never” return to.
The 27-year-old Houston, Texas native has been letting her body rest since the Summer Olympics in Paris. Biles, who returned to the 2024 Summer Olympics after a rough time in Tokyo in 2021, won three gold medals in Paris.
The 4-foot-7 gymnast won gold in the individual all-around competition, the all-around team competition and the vault competition.
She also took home a silver medal in the floor exercise, increasing her Summer Olympics medal total to 11.
Biles, who could return to the Summer Olympics in Los Angeles in 2028, has been letting her body rest since August. But on Wednesday, Biles decided to hit the gym again. She attended a popular workout class.
“First time working out since the Olympics,” Biles wrote on her Instagram Story.
“This is what I wore to a pilates class that I will never be attending again! Y’all stay strong out there lmao. It was too hard.”

Pilates, developed in the early 20th century by German physical trainer Joseph Pilates, has become an extremely popular workout class, especially for women. The class typically involves pilates machines, which use bands and movable benches, to improve flexibility, muscle strength and tone. It’s especially good for the core, lower back and leg muscles.
But clearly, Biles – one of the best and most flexible athletes in the world – had a tough time with the class on Wednesday.
That has to make people who attend pilates classes feel pretty good. Even a legendary Summer Olympian can have a tough time making it through the 45-minute class!
Biles will continue hitting the gym, in preparation of 2028, but it sounds like pilates classes are out.
The iconic women’s gymnast has admitted that she’s open to competing at the Summer Olympics in L.A. in 2028.
“Never say never. The next Olympics is at home. So you just never know. But I am getting really old,” Biles said back in August.
