And for once, it wasn’t about chart-topping hits or sold-out concerts—it was about bedtime routines, baby giggles, and learning to braid his daughters’ hair.

Enrique and Anna have always been famously private.

They met in 2001 on the set of his music video for “Escape” and have been together ever since, quietly building a life away from paparazzi lenses and social media feeds.

But in 2017, the couple surprised the world with the birth of twins Nicholas and Lucy.

Then, in 2020, their family grew again with the arrival of their youngest daughter, Mary.

“It changed everything,” Enrique confessed, speaking about the birth of his children.

“I used to think being on stage was the greatest rush in the world. But then I saw my kids being born, and I realized nothing compares to that moment.”

He went on to describe how fatherhood brought a kind of peace he didn’t even know he was missing.

“I’m still the same person,” he laughed.

“But I’m more tired now. And happier, much happier.”

Mornings in the Iglesias-Kournikova household are a far cry from red carpets and tour buses.

Enrique wakes up early to help get the kids dressed, makes breakfast—usually pancakes or cereal—and does school drop-offs when his schedule allows.

He even admitted that he’s become an expert at putting together dollhouses and assembling tiny furniture for his daughters.

“It’s more stressful than any show I’ve ever done,” he joked.

“But when I see their faces light up, it’s all worth it.”

Despite his fame, Enrique says he and Anna try to raise their children in the most normal environment possible.

No nannies, no staff overload, no special privileges.

Just parents doing their best, one day at a time.

“We want them to grow up grounded,” he explained.

“To know love, to know kindness, and to understand that nothing in life is handed to you. You work for what you want.”

When asked what kind of dad he is, Enrique smiled and paused.
“I’m goofy,” he said.

“I dance around the kitchen with them, I sing silly songs, I tell the worst jokes. They make fun of me all the time. But I love it. I love being their clown.”

His voice softened when he talked about Anna’s role as a mother.

“She’s incredible,” he said with genuine admiration.

“She has this strength and grace that amazes me every day. The way she cares for them, teaches them, listens to them—it’s beautiful to watch.”

Still, balancing family life and a music career hasn’t always been easy.

Enrique admitted there were moments of doubt, especially during long tours when he had to be away from home.

“But then I FaceTime with them, and they show me what they made in school, or they sing one of my songs.
And I’m reminded why I do what I do. They inspire me more than any award ever could.”

Fans may notice that his newer music has taken a more emotional, introspective tone—and that’s no coincidence.

“My kids changed my heart,” he said.

“And when your heart changes, your music follows.”

Looking ahead, Enrique hinted that he’s considering stepping back from large tours to focus more on family.

“I’m not saying goodbye to music,” he clarified.

“But I want to be present. I want to be at their soccer games, their dance recitals, their birthdays. Those are the moments you can’t get back.”

It’s clear that the man who once made millions swoon with “Hero” and “Bailamos” now finds his greatest joy not on stage, but in the quiet corners of his home.

Tucking in his kids at night. Kissing scraped knees. Drawing rainbows with crayons.

For Enrique Iglesias, fame is fleeting, but fatherhood is forever.

And while fans may continue to adore the global pop sensation, it’s the man who sings lullabies in the dark and braids his daughter’s hair who is now the true hero of his story.

“Being a father,” he said, “has been the most beautiful, messy, and meaningful thing I’ve ever done.”
