Kevin Costner’s unceremonious exit from Yellowstone doesn’t seem to have an adverse effect on his relationship with one actress in the series.

Kelly Reilly’s Beth Dutton is the daughter of Costner’s John Dutton in the series and both characters have left a lasting impact on Western fans.

An insider has spilled the beans on their great relationship even after his abrupt exit.

However, other sources reported that the rest of the cast of Yellowstone have cut contact with the actor.

Costner’s exit came after his rumored feud with Taylor Sheridan, but the official explanation was that he left to pursue his passion project, Horizon: An American Saga.

When Yellowstone Season 5B premiered recently, fans were shocked by the apparent suicide/murder of the show’s patriarch John Dutton.

Fans knew that they wouldn’t be seeing John anymore in the series after Kevin Costner‘s exit from the series in 2023.

However, they didn’t expect the brutal ending that Taylor Sheridan had written for the character.

Costner left after rumors of a feud with Sheridan, with fans and co-stars accusing him of abandoning his castmates when he took the decision.

However, Costner’s response to the Western drama since his exit has been anything but hostile.

Amidst all this drama, an insider source has revealed that one of the cast members still maintains a good relationship with Costner.

The source told Life & Style Magazine that Kelly Reilly supported Costner in his post-Yellowstone endeavors and they still talk to each other.

The source shared that the father-daughter relationship in the series had brought the two actors together.

The source shared, “[They] had a great rapport on set and shared many scenes that seemed to bring them closer as actors, and they continue to bond.”

Further, the source added that the actor was “blown away by her ability to nail her character down.” Unlike her co-stars, Reilly refused to comment publicly about the blowout between Costner and Paramount.

The source shared that the Waterworld actor knew “where she stood with him.” They still keep in touch with each other, as the source shared:

They had many private conversations about the situation and still communicate regularly.

Other people on the show may live to regret their turncoat behavior, but Kelly and Kevin will always be friends.

However, Costner’s move hasn’t been going well for the actor as his passion project Horizon has failed to impress the audiences.

Earlier this year, another source told Life & Style Magazine that Kevin Costner’s Yellowstone co-stars wanted nothing to do with the actor.

The source shared that they blame the Dances with Wolves star for the fate of the series.

The source shared, “He used to hear from Cole and the rest of the gang — but they’ve cut him loose in the months since he walked away from the show.”

The source reported that the cast felt that he abandoned them and they were “making no effort to see him.” The insider further shared:

After all that praise, you can imagine Kevin being a little hurt by their rejection.

Costner is not upset like fans about the character’s fate in the premiere of Season 5B as he told E! News, “They do what they want to do.

That’s fine with me.” He also added that he had no clue about how the show planned to write his character out.
