Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner’s eldest son is officially a high school grad!

At his high school graduation in Santa Barbara recently, the 18-year-old graduate posed for fun photos with his parents and siblings.

Cayden, one of Kevin’s seven children, is the eldest son of Baumgartner, 51, and the Oscar winner, 70.

In photos of the special event, Kevin, in light-colored pants, shirt and jacket, could be seen watching the graduation ceremony alongside his daughter Lily, 38, who he shares with ex-wife Cindy Silva.

A smiling Cayden, in his cap and gown, then took separate photos with his parents. Cayden’s siblings Hayes, 16, and Grace, 15, joined in the fun.

Kevin and Baumgartner supporting their son’s big day comes after a contentious divorce that began in May 2023 and reached a settlement in February 2024.

The former couple had been married since 2004.

Baumgartner and her new flame, financier Josh Connor, got engaged in January, PEOPLE exclusively confirmed.

The duo were first spotted together during a romantic getaway in July 2023, before a friend of Baumgartner’s told PEOPLE they were dating in January 2024.

A source told PEOPLE in January that Kevin, upon turning 70, was “in a good place and having fun with his family and friends…

He is not seriously involved with anyone and not necessarily looking for anything more than that right now.”

While speaking with Hollywood Authentic about his 2024 sequel Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 2, Kevin reflected on the “perfect experience” of attending the film’s Venice Film Festival premiere with Cayden.

“He’s seen me labor over the course of this movie.

For his entire life he’s known that I’ve talked about this thing…

And then to see me not let go of the opportunity, and the hope of it, and to actually go out and make two [Horizon movies] — he was able to see the culmination of that.”

More recently, the Yellowstone star revealed that the biggest life lesson he’s learned as a father of seven involves raising them as their own unique individuals.

“You love them all the same, but they are all different, so you find ways to do that without treating them all the same,” he told PEOPLE.

“You have to adjust to their individuality.”
