“It was the most annoying day in my life”: Leonardo DiCaprio Drove Jennifer Lawrence Crazy, Put Her Through Hell While Shooting ‘Don’t Look Up’

After taking a 3-year hiatus from Hollywood, returning to her acting roots didn’t go as smoothly as Jennifer Lawrence would hope for.

2021’s Don’t Look Up, which witnessed a heavily star-studded cast, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Timothée Chalamet, Meryl Streep, and Cate Blanchett, also marked the return of Lawrence into the acting realm after her break.

But adjusting to the conditions of crafting a film especially after being locked at home for Covid wasn’t easy for The Hunger Games star and according to the actress, her costars were no help.

Jennifer Lawrence was annoyed by her Don’t Look Up costars

Following her unbridled fashion of expressing honest emotions, Jennifer Lawrence once opened up about the complications she faced during her return to the industry with Don’t Look Up.

Joining forces with Leonardo DiCaprio and Timothée Chalamet didn’t go as smoothly as fans would hope for the actress, as Lawrence revealed she was annoyed by her costars.

While reflecting on her experience, she explained while shooting one of the scenes in the car, her two costars drove her crazy, as she claimed it was one of the most annoying experiences for her.

She explained,

“It was the most annoying day in my life.

I don’t know what it was.

Timothée was just excited to be out of the house [after the pandemic lockdown].

I think it was, like, his first scene.

And Leo had picked the song that was playing in the car and was just, like, ‘You know, this song was about, you know, blah, blah, blah… I just remember being in absolute misery that day.

It was hell.” .

But it wasn’t exactly her costars fault, as adjusting to the acting realm after the covid was going to be hard for everyone and Lawrence didn’t hold back while expressing her raw emotions.

Despite being one of the most celebrated stars of the last decade, The Hunger Games actress once explained her reasoning behind taking a leave from the industry.

Jennifer Lawrence explained she believed she wasn’t pumping out the quality content that she should’ve and felt fans weren’t pleased by her works.

She further opened up about the situation, as the actress explained,

“I was not pumping out the quality [of work] that I should have.

I just think everybody had gotten sick of me. I’d gotten sick of me.

It had just gotten to a point where I couldn’t do anything right.

If I walked a red carpet, it was, ‘Why didn’t she run?’”.

However, with the actress now back to her roots, fans are engrossed to see how her career unfolds in the coming years and are excited for her upcoming comedy No Hard Feelings.
