Rapper Max B has officially been released from prison after serving a lengthy sentence of 16 years.

His release follows his involvement in a botched armed robbery that tragically resulted in a man’s death.

In 2009, he was convicted and sentenced to an astonishing 75 years in prison.

The Crime and Conviction

Although Max B was not physically present during the robbery in New Jersey, prosecutors argued that he played a significant role in orchestrating the crime.

This led to his conviction for charges that included manslaughter.

In 2016, however, his legal team managed to have his conviction vacated, successfully arguing that his original attorney had a conflict of interest.

As a result, his sentence was reduced to 20 years, paving the way for his eventual release.

Predictions of Freedom

Earlier this year, Max B expressed optimism about his impending release.

During an appearance on The Joe Budden Podcast, he confidently stated, I am feeling righteous, man.

He added, I am doing all right. This is almost over… Wavy Baby coming home real soon.

His predictions turned out to be accurate as he marked the end of his lengthy incarceration.

Life Behind Bars

Despite being incarcerated, Max B continued to create music and record verses, often doing so over the phone.

He released the album Vigilante Season in 2011 and collaborated with longtime friend French Montana on the 2019 single Hold On.

Montana was one of the first to greet Max B upon his release and celebrated the occasion with a heartfelt social media post.

In his message, he wrote, CANT MAKE THIS UP! MY BROTHER REALLY CAME HOME ON MY B DAY! HAMDULILLAH WALKED IT DOWN! NO MORE FREE YOU.

A New Chapter Begins

Now that he is a free man, Max B wasted no time in teasing his next moves.

In a triumphant social media post, he declared, ITS TIME TO OPEN THE FLOOD GATES.

This statement signifies his eagerness to return to the music scene and make up for lost time.

Within hours of his release, he attended an AFC interdivisional game to watch the New York Jets compete against the Cleveland Browns.

He made a stylish entrance, sporting a full Louis Vuitton outfit.
