Erin Napier, star of HGTV’s “Hometown,” has overcome health challenges and the pressures of parenthood to build a thriving television and business career alongside her husband, Ben.

Erin Napier, the beloved star of HGTV’s hit show “Hometown,” has captured the hearts of viewers with her infectious personality and the heartwarming family moments she shares with her husband, Ben, and their two daughters.
But behind the charming facade lies a story of resilience, determination, and the challenges she faced on her journey to stardom.
Born on August 30, 1985, in Mississippi, Erin grew up in a supportive family that laid the foundation for her future.
Her mother, a real estate agent, and her father, a physical therapist, instilled in her the values of hard work, loyalty, and kindness. “My parents always encouraged me to follow my dreams,” Erin recalls.
After graduating high school, she attended the University of Mississippi, where she earned a degree in graphic design. Little did she know that her path would soon lead her to reality television.
At just 19, Erin faced a health scare when complications from her appendix required surgery. “That was a tough time for me,” she admits. “But it taught me the importance of resilience.”
Following her recovery, she found love with Ben Napier, her college sweetheart. The couple tied the knot on November 22, 2008, and soon welcomed their first daughter, Helen, in January 2018.

The early days of motherhood were challenging, but Erin was grateful for Ben’s unwavering support. “He was my rock during that time,” she says.
“We were in it together, and it made us stronger.” As they navigated the ups and downs of parenthood, Erin and Ben’s bond deepened, setting the stage for what was to come.
In a twist of fate, the couple’s lives changed dramatically when an HGTV executive discovered their social media pages and was impressed by their home renovation skills.
“We were hesitant at first,” Erin admits. “But we realized this was an opportunity to showcase our town and our passion for design.” Thus, “Hometown” was born, featuring the Napiers revitalizing homes in their beloved Laurel, Mississippi.
The show quickly gained popularity, drawing comparisons to Chip and Joanna Gaines. However, while the Gaines’ approach was more business-oriented, the Napiers brought a laid-back charm that resonated with viewers.
“We just wanted to have fun and connect with our community,” Erin explains. “It was never just about the renovations; it was about telling stories.”

As “Hometown” wrapped its fifth season, Erin and Ben received exciting news—they were expecting their second child.
“We were overjoyed,” Erin says, her eyes sparkling. “But I knew it would mean juggling even more responsibilities.” The couple welcomed their second daughter, Mae, shortly after announcing the pregnancy, adding to the delightful chaos of their lives.
However, as filming for the sixth season began, rumors circulated that the Napiers were struggling to manage their busy schedules.
An unnamed source claimed they were overwhelmed, but Erin and Ben remained committed to their fans. “We love what we do, and we want to keep bringing joy to our viewers,” Erin asserts. “It’s a balancing act, but we make it work.”
Despite facing health issues and the stress of childbirth, Erin’s determination never wavered. “Every challenge has made me stronger,” she reflects. “Holding Mae for the first time was a moment I’ll never forget. It reminded me of what truly matters—family.”
In addition to her television success, Erin co-owns Laurel Mercantile, a shop that specializes in home goods and apparel.
The store, which has a rich history dating back to the early 1900s, was revived by the Napiers and two other couples. “It’s a labor of love,” Erin shares. “We wanted to create a space that reflects our community and our values.”

With a net worth estimated between $700,000 and $1 million, Erin has proven herself as a savvy entrepreneur.
Her blog, “Make Something Good Today,” launched in 2010, has evolved alongside her career. “It started as a way to document my journey,” she says. “Now, it’s a platform to inspire others.”
As Erin continues to balance her roles as a mother, wife, and businesswoman, she remains an inspiration to many. “I want people to know that it’s okay to face challenges,” she emphasizes. “Life isn’t always perfect, but it’s how we respond that matters.”
With the success of “Hometown,” its spin-off “Hometown Takeover,” and the upcoming “Hometown Ben’s Workshop,” Erin shows no signs of slowing down.
“I’m excited for what the future holds,” she says with a smile. “There are so many stories left to tell, and I can’t wait to share them.”
As Erin Napier embarks on this new chapter of her life, she embodies resilience and determination.
Her journey reminds us all that with love and support, we can overcome any obstacle and create something beautiful out of our experiences. As fans eagerly await what’s next for Erin and her family, one thing is certain: this star is just getting started.
