The son of “The Walking Dead” star Norman Reedus’ and former Victoria’s Secret model Helena Christensen was arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman in Chelsea early Saturday, police and sources said.
Mingus Lucien Reedus allegedly punched the woman to wake her up before choking her and slamming her to the ground, sources told The Post.
The 25-year-old initially called 911 himself around 8:40 a.m. about a woman at a West 16th Street apartment who was taking pills and threatening suicide, police sources said.

The 25-year-old model allegedly punched his female victim in the leg, causing redness, and then choked her and slammed her to the ground, one police source said. William Farrington
When cops arrived, the woman, 33, claimed Reedus had assaulted her. He was taken into custody and she was brought to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.
A disheveled Reedus, clad in green shorts, a black t-shirt and handcuffs, was photographed being led out of the building by cops around 9:25 a.m.

Reedus, who is listed in public records as living in the swanky Chelsea apartment, was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and assault in the third degree, police said.

He was brought to the nearby 10th Precinct on West 20th Street and grinned as he was walked out a few hours later and placed into a waiting NYPD vehicle.
“Why did you call the police?” a reporter called out, to which Reedus responded, “I didn’t.”
When the reporter asked him to “tell us what really happened,” the accused assaulter could be seen grinning
and chuckling, before replying “no.”

The incident was “a misunderstanding,” Reedus then claimed to The Post before cops shut the car door.
A woman who identified herself as Reedus’ girlfriend also claimed the incident was just a big “misunderstanding.”

“You got your story all wrong,” a man said leaving the 10th Precinct with her told The Post.
It’s unclear if the woman is the same person Reedus allegedly assaulted.
