Angie Dickinson finally breaks silence

on Ricky Nelson’s secret side.

Most people remember Ricky Nelson as a

handsome teen idol with a golden voice.

He was famous, charming, and seemed like

the picture perfect young star, but

actress Angie Dickinson, who worked with

him on the classic film Rio Bravo, says

the real Ricky was someone completely

different and even more special.

In 1958, Angie and Ricky met on the

dusty movie set of Rio Bravo. Angie was

just starting her film career while

Ricky was already a music and TV star.

With legends like John Wayne and Dean

Martin also in the cast, you’d think a

young celebrity might act full of

himself. But Ricky didn’t. Angie

remembers being surprised by how kind

and quiet Ricky was. Even though he was
