David Hekili Kenui Bell, the actor from Lilo & Stitch, has passed away at the age of 57, only a few weeks following the film’s premiere.

years old on Sunday June 15th David’s
sister Jelene Cananan Bell announced his
death on Facebook the family also
confirmed David’s passing to TMZ the
following day in a lengthy post
accompanied by photos of David Jelene
shared anecdotes about her brother and
their relationship

Bell will spend today in the company of
our heavenly father she wrote “I met my
little brother at the age of 18 on my
high school graduation day it was the
most amazing surprise which I had been
asking for for years that our mom made
happen for us and that gift has lasted a
lifetime.”
She went on to say that David loved
being an actor and that quote “The film
industry and entertainment was so
exciting to him.”
According to People magazine Hawaii
police have confirmed that David died on
June 12th at 2:26 p.m
“we have launched a coroner’s inquest
investigation as is standard practice
and an autopsy is being scheduled to
determine the exact cause of death,” a
police spokesperson said in a statement
the investigation is ongoing at this
time no foul play is suspected
