This past Saturday at UFC Vegas 110, featherweight prospects Isaac Dulgarian and Yadier Del Valle clashed on the main card, in a fight that resulted in a lot of controversy.

Dulgarian opened up as quite a moderate favorite on the betting lines, however, just a few hours before the fight, the odds crashed after large money was placed on Del Valle to win in round one.

The action was flagged by IC360, who are a bet monitoring company used by the UFC, and Dulgarian has since been cut from the promotion following the controversy.

Dana White breaks his silence on fight-fixing scandal

Not long after cutting ‘The Midwest Choppa’ from the promotion, the UFC released a statement, vowing to conduct a ‘thorough review’ of the facts surrounding the fight.

And now just a few days removed from the event, more details continue to surface and UFC boss Dana White has broken his silence on the situation.

Yadier del Valle submits Isaac Dulgarian at UFC Vegas 110

“Probably about one o’clock that day, we’re with a company called IC360 and they are the best bet monitoring company in the business, and they reached out to us and told us that there was some unusual action going on with that fight,” White told TMZ Sports.

“We called the fighter and his lawyer and said, ‘What’s going on? There’s some weird betting action going on in your fight, are you injured? Do you owe anyone money? Has anyone approached you to (throw the fight)?’ And the kid said, ‘No, absolutely not, I’m gonna kill this guy.’

“So we said, ok. The fight plays out, first round finish via rear-naked choke, literally the first thing we did was call the FBI. So we called the FBI, I’ve met with the FBI twice today,” White continued.

The Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Kash Patel has been in attendance at several UFC events this year, and he seemingly has a good relationship with White and co.

“If you try to do this, I’ve been very vocal on this, we will be your worst enemy. We will immediately go after you guns blazing with the FBI and whoever else we need to get and we will do everything we can to make you go to prison.”

White sends a message to fighters who have revealed they were offered bribes

Since the scandal has unfolded, several former and current UFC fighters have come out in the media claiming that they have previously been offered bribes to ‘throw’ fights.

With that, White has sent those fighters a message, blasting them for not coming out sooner.

“Fighters are coming out and going ‘Oh, I was approached’, really? Why didn’t you tell us then? Or more importantly, why didn’t you tell law enforcement? Now, now you’re saying you were approached?

“It’s really weird that fighters are coming out now saying they were approached, they’re gonna be approached now, by the FBI.

“I’m not saying (Dulgarian) is guilty, there’s no proof he has done this yet, but I can tell you this, it doesn’t look good. We approached him and his lawyers before the fight and they denied that anything (was wrong).”
