A public memorial service for the late conservative activist Charlie Kirk is scheduled to take place in Arizona on Sunday, Sept. 21, according to Turning Point USA.

The nonprofit, which advocates for conservative politics on high school, college, and university campuses, shared an X post announcing the morning event at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, to honor the life of Kirk, its co-founder who was assassinated in Utah earlier this week.

“Join us in celebrating the remarkable life and enduring legacy of Charlie Kirk, an American legend,” the post reads with details for the service scheduled to take place at the home of the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals.

Kirk, 31, was killed while speaking on on Wednesday, Sept. 10 at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, about 40 miles south of Salt Lake City. Two days later, the suspected shooter was publicly identified by authorities as 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, who was taken into custody Thursday night, Sept. 11, more than 24 hours after Kirk’s killing. Prosecutors are expected to formally file charges against Robinson at his first court appearance on Tuesday, Sept. 16, according to Christopher Ballard of the Utah County Attorney’s Office.

Doors are expected to open for Kirk’s memorial service at 8 a.m. Mountain Standard Time (MST), according to the organization, and the program is planned to begin at 11 a.m. MST.

Kirk’s funeral will take place in Arizona, where he lived with his wife and two children before his death.

His body was transported by Air Force Two from Salt Lake City, Utah, to the Phoenix mortuary on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2025.

President Donald Trump told reporters on Sept. 11 that he plans to attend Kirk’s service, which he said he believed would be held in Arizona and take place next weekend.

“Whenever it is, I’ll be going,” he told reporters.

“They’ve asked me to go and I think I have an obligation to do it,” Trump said before departing for a flight to New York, adding that he had a long talk with Kirk’s wife, Erika, who was “absolutely devastated.”

Vice President JD Vance, who arrived with Kirk’s casket on Sept. 11, is also expected to attend the service. In addition to Trump and Vance, top administration officials, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, are expected to attend his memorial service.

“Charlie’s life was short, but it was full. It was defined by truth, anchored in faith, and devoted to the country he loved,” Turning Point USA’s tribute to its co-founder reads. “His legacy will endure for generations.”
