Ye Thinks the Music Industry Is Strategically Replacing Him With Kendrick Lamar

Yeย believes the music industry is trying to systematically erase his accomplishments and prop upย Kendrick Lamarย in his place.

Ye Believes He’s Being Repressed

On April 12, Ye responded to a video shared on social media claiming bots are being used to artificially inflate the YouTube numbers on Kendrick Lamar’sย “Luther” music video.

“Look man when I was droppingย Graduationย I had the whole building behind me too. Thatโ€™s the way this profession is,” Ye tweeted in a since-deleted postย on Xย below.ย “He got 24 Grammies. They are strategically trying to erase what I did and earned with ni**as that wonโ€™t even be remembered 100 years from now. Iโ€™m by faaaarrr the most important artist of our lifetime. Everyone that works with the Super Bowl and Grammies can suck my d**k forewvvveeeerrr ni**a.”

Ye Continues to Go In on Kendrick Lamar

Kendrick Lamar has been on Ye’s hit list since the Chicago rapper startedย going in on everyone and everythingย via X back in February. In March, heย gave Dot a backhanded complimentย after the Compton, Calif. rapper appeared on Playboi Carti’sย Musicย album multiple times.

“I DONT LIKE KENDRICK LAMARS MUSIC,” Ye posted.ย “HE RAPS VERY GOOD BUT I DIDNT NEED TO HEAR HIM ON CARTI ALBUM.”

A few days later, he addressed Kendrick again. “I HAAAAAATED NOT LIKE US,” Ye randomly added, voicing his disdain for K-Dot’sย Grammy-winning Drake diss song.

Yeย doubled downย on March 28.ย “I hated this so much,” Ye typedย in reference to a video of Kendrick performing atย a Louis Vuitton event during Paris Fashion Week in 2023.
