Kevin Costner reportedly feels “betrayed” after his ex-wife got engaged without informing him, and is seeking to renegotiate their divorce settlement.

Kevin Costner may have been one of the most charming stunners in the entire entertainment industry with enough rizz to pull just any woman, but he doesn’t seem to have been all that successful with his love life.

This stands true considering his recent messy divorce with his wife of almost two decades, Christine Baumgartner.

Though she was his second wife, Costner still seems to have tried hard enough to make things work with Baumgartner, but it all ostensibly ended up downhill for the couple.

But while the divorce was one thing, what further seems to be reportedly hammering the nail in the coffin for the actor is that she didn’t inform him she was getting married again, as per reports.

Back in May last year, Christine Baumgartner decided to put her 18-year marriage with Kevin Costner in the past as she filed for divorce from him, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason.

Now it feels like she has actually sincerely moved on from the Yellowstone star, considering how she has reportedly accepted the marriage proposal from her new beau.

Per RadarOnline.com, Baumgartner, 50, was met with a proposal from her beau and now fiancé, financial Josh Conner, 49, over an intimate dinner.

This news ostensibly comes as a surprise to many for the designer is engaged within less than a year of her divorce with Costner getting finalized, but her inner circle was reportedly said to not be shocked by the engagement.

On the other hand, Costner most certainly seems to have allegedly been affected by this news.

As per what an insider spilled to RadarOnline.com, the actor was apparently blindsided and felt “betrayed” by the news after coming to know about it from one of his kids. As the source claimed:

Kevin said he felt sucker-punched when his kids told him about the marriage proposal. He said he would have preferred to have heard it straight from Christine, but either way, it still feels like betrayal even after all this time. He just celebrated his birthday, thank God they waited at least a week to make the announcement.

That said, these reports are inevitably making it feel like Kevin Costner is yet to completely move on from his longtime wife – now ex-wife – even when she seems to be all set to tie the knot with someone else.

At the same time, the insider also claims that the actor is trying his best to focus on his life and career and continue the same unaffected.

The source claimed, “Kevin will do what he always does and that’s focus on his kids and his work.

He’s premiering Horizon 2 at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, his docuseries is coming out soon and he’s got his music and of course his best friend Bobby.

Thank god for that dog, he’s been there with Kevin through it all, bringing him and the kids so much joy.“

While it comes as a surprise that Kevin Costner is reportedly bothered that his ex-wife is about to get remarried soon and decided to make this decision without letting him know about it, at the same time, the actor is also reported to be looking forward to renegotiating his $400 million divorce settlement once Christine Baumgartner remarries.

As a source spilled, “Kevin is watching the situation very carefully and hopes to pounce once they become man and wife.

He’s paying Christine a monster sum each month in spousal support, but surely she won’t need that when she becomes someone else’s spouse.

Plus, he doesn’t see why his cash should be going to support Josh’s life as he’s a very wealthy man in his own right.“

In the courts, Baumgartner reportedly sought $161,592 in child support for the pair’s three children together following their official legal split.

However, a judge lowered that amount to around $63,209 a month instead, so that’s that. But now that she is about to get remarried, things are expected to get much easier financially for Kevin Costner, though only time can tell how it all pans out.
